Mens Sana in Corpore Sano

The installation consisted of the construction of the phrase “MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO” using the small cylindrical containers used for homeopathic products. The tubes had papers inside with messages related to health and care of the body and mind, which visitors could pick up and take with them.
The Joseba Ruiz Golvano Pharmacy, in addition to carrying out the typical tasks of a pharmacy, has been specializing in homeopathy for 30 years. Inside there is a laboratory where homeopathic medicine is produced, which is then distributed in the Basque Autonomous Community.
The preparation of homeopathy serves to recover a function that is being lost today in pharmacies: galenic preparation, which is the oldest tradition of the pharmacist. These medicines, once produced, are kept in small translucent blue tubes and represent the “soul” of the store.
